This challenging period has shown what a fantastic spirit we have at The Cave. We have seen first-hand the support, encouragement and motivation of the team in helping others maintain a happy body and a happy mind during a time where this has been so important.
We are currently operating two sites: Olney and Woburn, both have been declared safe by the local authorities and the insurance providers.
Following the response to your feedback, we now know that 4 out of 10 Cavers really enjoy the flexibility that CAVE ONLINE provides. So, we will continue to offer this service in addition to your ‘in person’ sessions. You can sign up to CAVE ONLINE sessions via the Caveman Conditioning app in the usual way, where you can either join in live, or on catch up for 7 days afterwards.
To keep Cave safe for everyone, it requires a team effort, so we ask that you follow a few simple steps.
Ensure you do not turn up if you, or anyone else in your household is unwell.
A mandatory ‘return to training questionnaire’ must be completed before you attend your first session. Complete the form for your location:
You must book into your session via the Caveman Conditioning app, or the relevant booking procedure for Woburn. We are operating with restricted numbers in sessions, so you will not be able to attend if you have not booked.
A mandatory hand wash with antibacterial gel upon arrival will be necessary.
We don’t have anywhere to store any bags, or unnecessary items, so please have a think about what you need as you will have to keep these with you at all times. We encourage you to bring a drinks bottle, but do not bring bags, towels, or any excess items.
We ask you to arrive 5 minutes before the session begins
All sessions will have a clearly marked one-way system which will guide you to filter into the training area (your coach will assist you with upon arrival).
You will need to remain in your Cave Grid, or designated spaces for the entire duration of the session until you are instructed to leave.
When using equipment which is not your own you will be issued with the correct cleaning materials to sanitise any equipment you have used before you leave the session.
Your coach will let you know when the session is finished, and we would ask that you do not create gatherings and always maintain safe social distancing from one another. We’re saving the fist pumps with a no contact policy.
The wellbeing and safety of our community has always been a priority, for us and we will continue to ensure we provide a safe, and COVID SECURE environment for our members, the team, as well as the public. That’s why we’ve introduced new clearing, hygiene, and social distancing measures which have been advised by Public Health England.
Each site has its own independent risk assessment which has been declared safe by the local authorities, enabling us to create a COVID SECURE environment.
We will be training in our natural environment outdoors as often as we can. Scientific evidence suggests there is a reduced risk of infection transmission outdoors compared to an indoor environment.
Outdoor sessions: The Cave Grids ensure each person has their own dedicated training area, a minimum of 2 metres apart, as well as having a clear one way system to ensure social distancing is maintained at all times.
Indoor sessions: The indoor sessions [Olney] provides each person with their own dedicated training space with a minimum of 2 meters social distancing, as well as having a clear one way system to ensure social distancing is maintained at all times.
We are insistent all sessions require pre-booking so that we can manage who’s attending, as well as adhering to the appropriate social distancing and gathering sizes.
We have increased the frequency of cleaning, as well as cleaning high-touch points after each session. Aside from everyone sanitising their hands upon entry, we are providing additional cleaning products to wash hands, and clean equipment.
We encourage you to bring your own strength, and mini bands, however if equipment is going to be shared then it must be sanitised thoroughly after each use.
The indoor facility [Olney] will have windows, doors, ventilation systems open, and operating to ensure fresh air is circulating throughout the premises.
At this stage there will be no toilets available.
In the event of an injury, should staff need to administer first aid, they will don the relevant personal protection equipment (PPE).
Success during this difficult period requires support from us all in society. Rest assured we will continue to monitor the situation as closely as possible, so that we can continue to provide the safest environment for you and your family during this time.
We would like to provide you with the peace of mind that, should there be a reported outbreak of COVID-19 at your location, then we will inform you straight away.
We thank you for your support and cooperation.
If you have any questions, then please feel free to contact us.
